GOODBYE TO US GREEN FORMS

The US government announced on Tuesday that it plans to axe the existing green immigration forms for visa waiver countries such as the UK. Instead, passengers will be required to register their details no later than 72 hours before travelling.
The move has been welcomed as a step towards cutting lengthy queues at US airports, particularly as the online form will be valid for two years.
Speaking at Pow Wow in Las Vegas, US Travel Industry Association chief executive Roger Dow told TTG he believed the move would help the entry process in the long term, but it was imperative for the US government to support the change with adequate publicity.
